This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Melville, NY and will report directly to the Vice President of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash management, cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various ad-hoc analyses
- Support the general ledger function, including maintenance and reconciliation of various ledgers and sub-ledgers as well as monthly account analysis
- Assist in the preparation of the annual review/audit
- Participate in a variety of value-added initiatives and process enhancements to optimize the output of the Corporate Finance department
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- BA or BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team to effectively complete multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com preferred
- Experience with Inventory & Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt processes preferred
- Experience with monthly financial reporting close processes a plus
