The Staff Accountant III solves the problem of translating vast datasets into clear, actionable business narratives that provide senior leadership with visibility into financial performance. What Success Looks Like (Objectives)- Deliver a highly accurate and timely financial close by executing complex journal entries and overseeing core accounting functions
- Translate raw data into actionable business narratives through the rigorous analysis and presentation of monthly income statement and balance sheet variances
- Ensure financial accuracy and process integrity by maintaining comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies across subledger schedules
- Facilitate the seamless integration of new product offerings by collaborating with IT, Billing, and Operations to align accounting workflows with business growth
- Enable strategic decision-making for senior management by providing expert data interpretation and response to complex financial inquiries
- Improve the precision of financial projections by leveraging AI frameworks for predictive trend modeling and automating multi-step data retrieval tasks
Skills, Experience and RequirementsCore Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)- Technical expertise in US GAAP with a specific mastery of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
- Advanced proficiency in data modeling and Microsoft Excel to manage and interpret large, complex datasets
- AI Literacy and Application skills to utilize machine learning frameworks and AI agents for automated financial reasoning
- The ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems creatively within a fast-paced, ever-evolving business landscape
- Critical experience in communicating complex financial findings to non-financial stakeholders and senior leadership
- Professional collaboration skills required to work cross-functionally with technical and operational departments
Additional Qualifications- Master's degree or specialized certification in Financial Technology (FinTech) or Data Science
- CPA (or equivalent qualification)
Minimum Requirements- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative/technical field
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Required Technical Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, modeling, large datasets)
- Technical application of US GAAP (ASC 606)
- Experience with machine learning or AI frameworks for data modeling
Salary RangesCompensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year
