Location: Salem/Turner, Oregon (On-site)

Reports To: Controller

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Salary Range: $90,000 Annually + Full Benefits, depending on experience
Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role owns the day-to-day accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and various account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), including invoice processing, payment preparation, and customer billing
  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Prepare and post general journal entries in accordance with GAAP
  • Utilize QuickBooks Desktop for daily accounting tasks and financial reporting
  • Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Support financial reporting by preparing schedules, summaries, and supporting documentation for month-end and year-end close
  • Communicate professionally with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries
  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure detailed recordkeeping for audit readiness
  • Assist the Controller with annual audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
  • Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Track and report revenue and expenses by business location to ensure accurate location-level financial visibility.
  • Leverage Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, including tying out schedules, reconciling balances to source documents, and validating data accuracy.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle A/P and A/R
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data organization)
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
  • Ability to pass required background checks

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Oregon Medicaid billing systems (eXPRS) or similar claims/billing platforms
  • Experience supporting external audits
  • Experience conducting quality control audits to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial data.
