This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and play a key role in the
month-end close process, financial accuracy, and audit readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, with experience in nonprofit environments considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities- Support the month-end and year-end close process
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Process accounts payable, including invoice coding and approvals
- Manage vendor relationships and maintain accurate vendor records
- Assist with expense coding and classification
- Provide support during internal and external audits
- Help ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial reporting
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience with QuickBooks a plus
- Nonprofit accounting experience (preferred)
- Experience with Anybill (a plus)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
