This position will play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Support the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries.
- Manage accounting for prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and depreciation.
- Prepare account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of general ledger balances.
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
- Perform variance analysis and investigate budget-to-actual fluctuations.
- Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Assist with audit requests and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred.
- Experience in the construction, engineering, or other project-based industries is a plus.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
