Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description
The Senior Accountant will join a growing accounting team in Fort Lauderdale and play a key role in managing the month-end close process, supporting financial reporting, and improving accounting processes. This role contributes directly to the organization's ability to scale through continued growth and acquisitions and offers a strong long-term career path with potential progression to a Controller-level position.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute the month-end close process accurately and on schedule.
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements and other financial reporting deliverables.
  • Perform revenue accounting activities and ensure proper recording and recognition of revenue.
  • Review accounting work prepared by others and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
  • Contribute to the improvement and standardization of accounting processes and controls.
  • Support acquisition-related accounting, including integration of new entities into existing financial systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to provide clear, timely financial information that supports decision-making.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.

Essential Skills
  • Strong experience managing the month-end close process.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reconciling balance sheets and other key financial statements.
  • Solid background in accounting and financial reporting, including revenue accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or active CPA candidate.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in public accounting, ideally with a smaller audit firm or similar environment.
  • Experience supporting acquisition accounting and post-acquisition integrations.
  • Ability to review, coach, and mentor other accounting professionals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
