JOB SUMMARY

This position provides leadership in the business development function of the sales organization through effective and efficient management of sales activities and personnel supporting Samsung SDIA customers and programs. This role will primarily focus on aerospace, eVTOL, and CTOL customer segments.

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Identify and target potential customers within the automotive, electronics, and other relevant industries, leveraging industry knowledge and market research to generate new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and other stakeholders, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share, including setting sales goals, forecasting sales projections, and developing pricing strategies.
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts, understanding their needs and requirements, and proactively identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services.
  • Develop existing processes, systems or procedures through comprehensive analysis of complex data to achieve improvements in departmental operation.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations, effectively communicating the value proposition of our lithium-ion battery solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment on customer requirements and deliverables, and to provide feedback on product development and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including customer interactions, sales activities and revenue forecasts, and provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively, and by consistently delivering on promises and commitments.
  • Lead and manage sales professionals responsible for customer accounts and products.
  • Responsible for accounts with a larger scope of work, revenue or several smaller accounts concurrently.


Additional Responsibilities:
  • May serve as the primary point of contact (Key Account Manager) with customers on designated accounts, assuming ownership of the accounts, with responsibility for maintaining and growing the account.
  • This position may have direct reports or manage a small group of sales professionals directly.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in the support of sales activities, improve customer, and internal department satisfaction.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to identify market opportunities and potential risks, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage the resolution of outstanding delivery and Accounts Receivable issues
  • Manage the collaborative activities with internal and customer supply chain teams to drive resolution providing for on time shipments without issues.
  • Assist with other duties as needed or assigned by Management.


REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Over 7 years of experience in the managing sales accounts as a sales manager or account manager
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Ability to gather and analyze data independently, while exercising good judgment in keeping team members adequately informed
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Grace under pressure, and the ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time
  • Prior experience working for a large, global company is a plus
