Job Description:

Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Manager located at our Mossville, IL, Irving, TX or Nuevo Laredo, Mexico facility. (If you are interested in working at the Nuevo Laredo facility, there is a separate job posting that you must apply to) In this role, you will own end-to-end business and lifecycle management for Reman Air System Products, including aftertreatment, air compressors, and air starters. You will also develop and maintain strong internal partner relationships and external Reman purchase-finished supplier relationships.

What You Will Do:

 

Primary Responsibilities Will Include but not limited to:

  • Develop and manage NPI projects across key Reman product areas.
    • Aftertreatment: Diesel Particulate Filters, and Clean Emissions Modules.
    • Air Systems: Air Compressors, A/C Compressors, and Air Starters.
  • Purchase-Finished (PF) Compliance: Ensure all aspects of the Reman PF business comply with enterprise procedures and product line strategies.
  • PF product and supplier strategies: Drive strategies that support an OPACC-positive PF Reman business through close collaboration with Purchasing and favorable Reman contract and agreement terms related to pricing, core, inventory, and lifecycle management.
  • Internal finished products: Drive strategies that support an OPACC-positive Reman business through close enterprise collaboration around lifecycle management, including pricing, core, and inventory management.
  • NPI growth and execution: Drive NPI growth and execution by reviewing product line gaps for NPI potential, refining associated business cases, prioritizing opportunities, and monitoring business cases throughout NPI gate reviews. Manage major NPI risks for key projects, including supply chain, inventory, and forecasting, while aligning with the enterprise on CPIs, new side development, Purchasing, and PSLD.
  • Manage P&L to meet full-year profit commitments, including ABP, S&OP, and RBM. Manage costs through seeding and stocking decisions, salvage opportunities, and supplier negotiations and agreements.
  • Support quality through targeted project support, ongoing issue inquiry, and appropriate escalations as needed.

Account Management: Extensive experience managing customer accounts, understanding market and customer trends, recommending solutions, and monitoring customer satisfaction.
Value Selling: Extensive experience applying value-selling principles, aligning solutions to customer needs, delivering value-added support, and coaching others on customer-focused selling approaches.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree and 10+ years of experience demonstrating leadership of complex projects, strong business acumen, project management skills, organization, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Aftertreatment experience and a strong working knowledge of related systems.
  • NPI experience and knowledge of supply chain processes, including aftermarket inventory management, purchasing, and supplier relations.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, while influencing appropriately and resolving differences.
  • Strong human relations skills with the ability to develop collaborative and cooperative working relationships inside and outside of Caterpillar.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for supplier and facility visits, both domestic and international.
  • Ability to work in-office five days per week.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
