Job purposeThe Senior Account Executive will be responsible for developing and growing strategic customer relationships across the renewable energy industry, with a focus on wind, solar, and battery energy storage (BESS). This individual will leverage and grow an established network of industry relationships to identify opportunities, develop solutions for customers, and drive revenue growth.
This is a senior, highly autonomous position for an experienced renewable energy sales professional. The successful candidate will be expected to independently originate new opportunities, manage key accounts, and close complex service agreements with minimal oversight.
Duties and responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth across renewable energy markets.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new customers and projects throughout North America.
- Build and maintain relationships with:
- Asset owners and operators
- Utilities
- Developers
- EPC contractors
- OEMs
- Independent power producers (IPPs)
- Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract execution.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and accurately forecast revenue.
- Work closely with operations and executive leadership to develop commercial strategies and customer solutions.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and networking events.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify new growth opportunities.
- Develop strategic account plans and identify opportunities to expand service offerings within existing customers.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support contract development.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape future service offerings and strategic growth initiatives.
- Candidates should possess an established network within the North American renewable energy industry and have a demonstrated ability to develop business independently. This role is best suited for a seasoned industry professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
Qualifications- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with significant exposure to the wind, solar, and/or battery energy storage sectors, and relevant customer exposure.
- Demonstrated success in business development, account management, sales, or commercial leadership roles within renewable energy.
- Existing relationships and industry contacts across the North American renewable energy market.
- Proven ability to independently originate and close service agreements.
- Strong understanding of renewable asset operations, construction, maintenance, and field services.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Experience working for an independent service provider (ISP), OEM, EPC contractor, asset owner, or developer.
- Existing relationships with major renewable asset owners and operators.
- Experience selling operations and maintenance services, major component exchanges, specialty repairs, construction services, or technical field services.
- Travel a minimum of 2 weeks per month.

Working conditionsThe employee will generally be working in an office environment. The employee may be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment. The employee could occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the workplace is moderate.
