Position SummaryThe Senior Account Executive/Membership Manager, is a pivotal leadership role within the Marketing, Membership & Sales (MMS) department, responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of membership growth, retention, and engagement initiatives. This role involves collaborating closely with client teams, internal departments, volunteers, and committees to achieve organizational objectives. The Senior Account Executive/Membership Manager will oversee all aspects of membership planning, membership marketing campaigns, dues management, website optimization, committee engagement, reporting, database utilization, and member analysis for clients. In addition, incorporating trends and best practices from professional and/or trade associations, creating case studies for Kellen corporate, and sharing and implementing ideas. Exceptional attention to detail, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and clients are essential for success in this role.
Essential FunctionsMembership Strategy Leadership
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive membership strategies, encompassing onboarding, engagement, retention, and recruitment efforts, in alignment with client objectives
- Devise innovative approaches to enhance member engagement post-renewals, fostering long-term retention.
- Prioritize strategies based upon objectives and key results.
- Mentor and manage membership team members.
- Analyze membership data and trends to inform strategy adjustments and ensure alignment with evolving client needs and industry standards.
- Develop case studies and other insights for Kellen Corporate.
Membership Marketing & Promotion
- Spearhead the creation of compelling membership campaigns, materials, and value propositions, closely aligning with client goals.
- Create and execute targeted outreach campaigns to attract new members and expand the organization's membership base.
- Cultivate testimonials and quotes from key members to amplify promotional efforts and bolster member acquisition.
- Understand impact and provide results to clients.
Membership Financial Management
- Take charge of dues billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up as needed to support the financial sustainability of client memberships.
- Pilot new messages and approaches of the membership dues process and share recommendations
Website Optimization
- Collaborate with marketing and client teams to optimize website content to effectively showcase the value of membership and streamline the membership renewal and enrollment processes.
- Understand traffic and metrics, when it comes to the overall website, and specifically the membership pages.
Membership Committee Oversight
- Foster active engagement and collaboration within membership committees, facilitating meetings, reporting activities, and sharing insights with the broader team to drive membership goals forward.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Develop and maintain robust membership reporting mechanisms to provide actionable insights, driving informed decision-making and proactive membership strategies.
- Leverage client databases and technology platforms to extract meaningful quantitative and qualitative data to enhance member experiences.
Member Retention & Engagement
- Proactively identify members at risk of churn and develop targeted action plans to mitigate attrition, thereby contributing to member retention goals.
- Recommend and execute outreach programs and engagement strategies to drive member acquisition and enhance overall satisfaction.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Education, Meetings, Technology, Accounting, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment of membership initiatives with broader organizational objectives.
Onsite Engagement & Membership Experience
- Represent the organization at onsite membership activities, including promotional booths and events, to directly engage with prospective and existing members and drive membership acquisition.

Qualifications- Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, marketing, communications, management, or English preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience. Experience with non-profits and trade associations required.
- Proficient in membership or customer retention and acquisition strategies.
- Demonstrates strong writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Efficiently manages multiple projects, prioritizing deliverables through effective communication and established processes.
- Comfortable taking direction, interfacing with other departments, and demonstrating initiative and independence in work execution.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Smart Sheet (preferred), Google Analytics, CRMs (Word Press, Salesforce), and databases (Association Management Systems), with experience in email platforms like Constant Contact or Informz.

• Hybrid Work Environment: All employees located within commuting distance of one of Kellen's offices are required to go in on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Flexibility in going into the office additional days may be necessary.

The pay range for this role is:
80,000 - 85,000 USD per year (HQ)
