Job Description

Omdia, part of Informa TechTarget, Inc. (Nasdaq: TTGT) is a market research and consulting group that offers deep analysis of the semiconductor industry and major semiconductor component markets such as MCU/MPU, memory (DRAM, NAND Flash), power semiconductor and MEMS/sensors.

As a member of Omdia's semiconductor research team supporting the Application Market Forecast Tool (AMFT), the Senior Analyst is responsible for developing and aggregating data and analysis that is used by the leadership of many of the leading companies in the world.

As a Senior Analyst for the semiconductor market industry, you will help to establish and contribute to a compelling, commercially relevant research agenda, clearly positioning the team and Omdia as the definitive source of insight, and at the forefront of thought leadership within the semiconductor industry.

The analyst will share responsibility for publishing a standard set of deliverables for the Application Market Forecast Tool (AMFT) report, including semiconductor component and application forecasts.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Generate, maintain, and expand databases for semiconductor component and end-applications through background research, collaboration with colleagues, and estimations when data is not available. The analyst will maintain databases and log assumptions in a clear manner.

Use industry knowledge and data models to generate market forecasts. Be able to explain your forecasts and background reasons to other team members.

Collaborate with semiconductor analysts to align assumptions, revenue and shipment numbers across multiple projects, ensuring a consistent and cohesive view of the complete semiconductor market. Liaise with equipment analysts in other Omdia teams to gather data, understand market dynamics, and validate forecast assumptions.

Respond to inquiries from internal colleagues and external clients regarding datasets, methodologies, and underlying assumptions.

Support a thought leadership position helping Omdia to be recognised as a leading authority covering semiconductor components and applications.

Take ownership of the model and datasets, demonstrating agility to adapt as market conditions evolve, transform data structures, and incorporate new research areas driving by customer demand.

Partner with the sales and product development teams to generate new leads, progress existing leads, and support renewals; use scoping to continually evolve the research offering.

Ability to multitask and meet deliverable deadlines on a regular basis.

Qualifications
  • 2-5 years relevant semiconductor industry or analyst experience
  • Strong understanding of the semiconductor component market; up to date and aware of key forces driving/impacting the market
  • Collaborative across teams and able to develop relationships in support of mutual benefit
  • Confident to form personal opinions on industry trends, and express those opinions with backing data
  • MS Excel database expertise for data building, data manipulation, data organization, and pivot table creation
  • Ability to find and piece together insight from multiple sources and to connect the dots; thinks big picture about market, not just the issue at hand
  • Multitasking - ability to prioritize and delegate competing tasks effectively

We believe that great things happen when people connect face-to-face. That's why we work in-person with each other, or with customers and partners, three days a week or more. • Broader impact: take up to four days per year to volunteer with a philanthropic organization
  • Career opportunity: the opportunity to develop your career with bespoke training and learning, mentoring platforms and on-demand access to thousands of courses on LinkedIn Learning. When it's time for the next step, we encourage and support internal job moves
  • Time out: Open Vacation, plus 10 national holidays, and the chance to work from (almost!) anywhere for up to four weeks a year
  • Competitive benefits, including a 401k match, health, vision and dental insurance, parental leave and an ESPP offering company shares at a minimum 15% discount
  • Strong wellbeing support through EAP assistance, mental health first aiders, free access to a wellness app and more
  • Recognition for great work, with global awards and kudos programs
  • As an international company, the chance to collaborate with teams around the world

The salary range for this role is $90,000- $100,000 based on experience.
