Job Description:
Internal Auditing & Advisory Services (IAAS) within Caterpillar Inc has an open position for an IAAS Audit Director. This position serves as an audit director for the Internal Auditing & Advisory Services team supporting all internal risk-based audits for one of Caterpillar’s primary segments.
IAAS assists in improving enterprise effectiveness and efficiency by providing independent and objective assurance, risk management, process governance, internal control and related advisory services while being a trusted business partner.
What You Will Do:
- Serve as audit director for IAAS team
- Responsible for development of the segment internal audit plan targeting the highest risks
- Lead audit teams through each audit phase including pre-scoping, planning & scoping, fieldwork and wrap-up & reporting
- Partner with segment and division teams to ensure appropriate action plans are developed and issues are remediated
What You Have:
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline plus significant progressively responsible job-related experience; Preferred experience includes: finance/accounting/auditing/compliance leadership experiences in a global team
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
- Communicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience
- Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations
- Stakeholder Management: Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them

- The primary locations for this position are Irving, TX or Peoria, IL

Summary Pay Range:
$189,080.00 - $283,630.00
