Full Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Security Technical Writer to join one of Calgary's leading energy companies on a contract basis. The role will start part time (24 hours per week) until December 15 2025. Starting January 2026, the role will transition to full time (40 hours per week) until December 15 2026. The ideal candidate will sit in Calgary and come into office for initial training and occasionally for meetings. The successful candidate will join a collaborative Enterprise Security team of seven and regularly collaborate with SMEs in this space.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Standardizing ~60-70 internal governance documents (policies, procedures, templates, response plans) by end of 2025.
- Reformatting legacy content to align with Enterprise Security's new style and structure.
- Collaborating with SMEs to ensure accuracy and alignment with security principles.
- Consolidating and streamlining content to reduce document volume.
- Ensuring all materials reflect Zero Trust principles and Operating System v2.0 standards.

- Strong understanding of cybersecurity governance concepts (e.g., Zero Trust, business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management).
- Experience writing for internal audiences in large organizations (policies, procedures, templates, response plans).
- Experience reducing document volume and aligning content to new standards.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Prior work in oil & gas.
- Experience with document management systems such as OpenText or ServiceNow.
