Join our growing Systems Integration team and help support, maintain, and optimize integrated security technologies across British Columbia.As a Security Systems Service Technician, you will be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, resolve technical challenges, and help ensure critical security systems remain reliable and fully operational.
Responsibilities- Install, program, and service security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms (ULC fire monitoring systems and non-ULC), intercoms and perimeter detection
- Focus on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing system issues across multiple platforms
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure systems remain reliable and fully operational
- Work closely with clients to identify issues, explain solutions, and provide responsive support
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and test documentation
- Train end-users on system operation and basic troubleshooting
- Stay current with evolving technologies, products, and industry standards
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
- Participate in on-call support as needed
- Assist, guide, and mentor junior technicians when required
- Support system upgrades, expansions, and small installation projects
Requirements- 5+ years of experience in integrated security or low-voltage systems
- Experience servicing and supporting integrated security systems, including upgrades, expansions, and commissioning projects
- Valid Trades Qualification (TQ) certification, or currently working toward certification
- Valid driver's licence with clean record
- Experience and/or certifications with systems such as KEYSCAN, ICT, DSC, Honeywell Vista, Genetec, Avigilon, Milestone, AMAG, Kantech, Gallagher, Lenel, SES, AIPHONE, and others is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in electronics or a related field is an asset
- Technical troubleshooting, repair skills and system programming experience
- Ability to manage service calls independently with minimal supervision
- Good organization and time management
- Clear communication with clients and team members
- Ability to be available for On-Call rotations
Working Conditions- Requires lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, and working at heights
- Work may be indoors or outdoors, including construction environments
- May involve confined spaces, travel, and moderate noise levels
- This role may require occasional travel
