Security & Intelligence Specialist: Protect Our Nation's Most Critical Assets!
Are you a highly disciplined security professional ready to defend the nation's most sensitive programs against modern adversarial threats? We are seeking a Security Specialist to join our elite Security and Intelligence Operations Branch.
In this vital, multi-disciplinary role, you will stand as the ultimate shield protecting our organization from espionage, terrorism, and the unauthorized compromise of information. Operating at the intersection of security and intelligence, you will safeguard the personnel, facilities, and data that enable our software engineering teams to develop and sustain war-winning capabilities in a secure, impenetrable environment.
What You Will Accomplish:
As a core contributor to our security and intelligence operations team, your daily focus will be on executing flawless defense protocols and integrating threat analysis. You will:
- Defend Against Espionage & Terrorism: Actively protect the organization and its vital national security interests from espionage, terrorism, and the unauthorized disclosure or compromise of highly classified information.
- Administer Multi-Disciplinary Security: Play a hands-on role in implementing and administering the unit's Industrial, Information, Personnel, Physical, and Operations Security (OPSEC) programs as a key member of the security management team.
- Safeguard SAP & SCI Programs: Provide security management and operational force protection for highly restricted Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments.
- Master Communications Security & Force Protection: Execute critical defensive and safety measures, including Communications Security (COMSEC), Antiterrorism protocols, and Force Protection strategies to keep our personnel and facilities secure.
- Leverage All-Source Intelligence: Coordinate and support the delivery of tailored, all-source intelligence analysis and production, directly aligning threat intelligence with our software development and sustainment missions.
- Manage Core Security Services: Deliver essential security operations that keep our workforce mission-ready, including personnel clearance management, the execution of critical security training, and the rapid, thorough investigation of security incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise
- May require the employee to work outside the normal business hours
- This position is a designated National Security Position
- Designated drug testing position
- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Extensive knowledge of information, personnel, physical, industrial, communications and operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security in these areas.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
3. Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization.
