The Position:AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Security Specialist (CSSO)-Journeyman to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. Position Background:The Digital Analytics, Infrastructure, and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group is at the cutting edge of Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (AARDT&E). Our state-of-the-art laboratories are equipped to work seamlessly together, enabling comprehensive testing and evaluation of aircraft and weapons systems across the Department of Defense. What sets the DAiTA Group apart is our exceptional ability to mitigate program risks by crafting intricate battlespace environments where cutting-edge concepts, advanced hardware, and skilled warfighters can dive into the missions of both today and the future. The Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test (IBST) Department is at the heart of this innovative ecosystem. This team is the driving force behind the research, development, management, design, documentation, fabrication, installation, integration, testing, evaluation, operation, and maintenance of the Air Combat Environment Test Facility (ACETEF) and other DAiTA AARDT&E capabilities, laboratories, and facilities. A typical day as a Security Specialist (CSSO)-Journeyman may include:- Coordinates with the GSSO and GPM to create a secure environment for SAP operations
- Works with the ISSM/ISSO to safeguard Information Systems in the SAPF
- Ensures adherence to any applicable laws as well as any SCI or SAP security policies and requirements
- Supports enterprise SAP discussions and activities to comply with program expectations and requirements
- Assists other office locations, as required
- Coordinates initial access eligibility determinations and creates PARs Maintains personnel security records for SAP programs including the use of DISS, and other customer systems of record
- Conducts pre-travel and post-travel briefings and oversees foreign travel and contact reporting
- Coordinates the visitor control process for SAP meetings
- Provides initial program indoctrination security briefing and security education/refreshers training
- Conducts annual self-inspections and submits corrective action plans
- Creates, updates and maintains SOPs for security policies unique to their facilities and SAP
- Develops transportation plans and reproduction procedures
- Establishes and ensures compliance with the Security Education, Training and Awareness (SETA) program
- Conducts briefings on reporting requirements and security incidents
- Assists the customer in the development of Program Protection Plans
- Prepares DD Form 254 and manages SAP material inventory and disposition
- Coordinates with Physical Security on any program construction needs/modifications to the facility
- Conducts security inquiries, identifies suspected security infractions and violations, develops reports and makes recommendations to the government security team for corrective action(s)
- Develops, coordinates, submits for approval and implements entry/exit inspection procedures for the facility
- Executes and documents completion of an annual physical inventory of Top-Secret material under the control of the facility's registry
- Obtains rulings, interpretations and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
Must-haves:- Associate's Degree or 3 years of experience in security/business-related field in leu of Associate's Degree
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with CSSO or CPSO
- Demonstrated knowledge of the DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4, SAP manuals and ICD series manuals
- The ability to obtain and maintain Clearance in accordance with 5205.07
- Holds final Secret eligibility-The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. On rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
The employee is required to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs.
