Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall operation of the Company's security programs. Provide a safe and secure hotel environment for all guests and employees through effective management of security personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Recommend and administer security functions, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee investigations and monitor all initial security reports.
- Develop, monitor, and enforce property security policies, processes, and procedures.
- Responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance of property security personnel.
- Ensure department compliance with Fontainebleau Miami Beach policies, procedures, and programs.
- Schedule labor force and assign work for efficient use of equipment and personnel.
- Maintain a working relationship with local, municipal, and governmental law enforcement agencies, insurance carriers, etc.
- Prepare and oversee the department's financial goals.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Advanced knowledge of security concepts, principles, practices, and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Well organized and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective leadership, supervisory, and management skills. Budgeting and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, management, and staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school education or equivalent.
- College course work in criminology preferred.
- Minimum five years security, military, or police management experience preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience preferred.
- Certified CPR, First Aid, and AED instructor training preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is performed in an office environment; and the ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality. Varied hours of work schedules required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSRequires mobility. Prolonged standing and sitting. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors. Normal vision and hearing range.
