Role Description: The Security Engineer will support security initiatives focused on strengthening network and infrastructure security across the organization. This role will help develop security recommendations, assess existing controls, and contribute to security architecture methodologies for networked systems. The engineer will collaborate with technical leads across identity, applications, data, and infrastructure teams to shape a cohesive and modern security strategy.Key responsibilities include contributing to the development of security frameworks, maturity models, and roadmap planning for network and infrastructure security. The role requires strong knowledge of network security concepts, security control design, and security assessment practices.LCAT CISE IIEducation- Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Engineering Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field OR 10 years of work experience in cybersecurity engineering.
Experience- 3+ years of work experience in cybersecurity engineering.
- Experience developing and integrating cybersecurity designs for systems and networks.
- Experience documenting and addressing organizational security architecture and systems security engineering requirements.
- Experience defining baseline security requirements and contributing to system security context and CONOPS development.
- Experience documenting protection needs and security controls for information systems and networks.
- Ability to perform security reviews, identify gaps in architecture or controls, and develop security risk management plans.
- Experience using vulnerability scanning tools for operating systems, web applications, and databases.
- Skill in translating operational requirements into security controls.
- Experience working with Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
- Hands on experience with Windows and Linux, including configuration, maintenance, and system management.
Certification- At least one of the following (or equivalent as approved by the organization): CISSP, CCSP, RHCSA, GIAC
- Eligible for Secret Clearance.
