Torch Technologies is seeking a
USSPACECOM Security Cooperation and Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Planner to join our team and support Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) initiatives, security cooperation plans, programs, and engagements. This position supports United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) by integrating WPS considerations into security cooperation efforts and serving as a subject matter expert on UNSCR 1325, U.S. Public Law 115-68, and Department of Defense directives.
As a USSPACECOM Security Cooperation and Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Planner, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:- Execute WPS program management.
- Provide WPS perspectives in support of CCMD strategic plans, operations, and activities.
- Develop WPS-related products for international engagements.
- Brief USSPACECOM WPS considerations and initiatives at international engagements.
- Support, inform, and provide SME advice to the HQ staff.
- Maintain collaborative contact with the Joint Staff WPS Lead.
- Maintain a network of trained WPS Focal Points within USSPACECOM HQ and its components.
- Lead or support WPS working group meetings.
- Develop WPS training modules and programs as required.
- Capture lessons learned and best practices and prepare executive-level reports for the Joint Staff, OSD, and the White House.
- Support security cooperation planning efforts, programs, and engagements.
- Research and assess human dynamics and integrate human operational environment considerations into plans, operations, and international engagements.
- Provide briefings, presentations, and reports to senior-level military personnel.
- Conduct studies and assessments related to space and national security.
Qualifications- U.S. Citizenship.
- 10+ years of military experience (active duty or government civilian), including 6 years in HQ staff roles (division, CCMD, or Joint Staff), security cooperation, and/or WPS experience.
- Active TOP SECRET security clearance required.
- Experience supporting security cooperation planning efforts, programs, and international engagements.
- Strong ability to analyze data, extract useful information, and present it in an operationally relevant manner for decision-making.
- Ability to research and assess human dynamics and integrate human operational environment considerations into plans, operations, and engagements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience providing briefings, presentations, and reports to senior-level military personnel.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working on classified networks.
- Experience conducting studies and assessments related to space and national security.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to travel approximately 30 days per year in support of planning and international engagements.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- International relations experience.
- Expertise in integrating WPS perspectives into complex military plans and operations.
- Experience in joint planning, operations, and exercises.
- Experience in security cooperation and international engagements.
- Experience in WPS program planning and execution.
- Experience collaborating with non-military government representatives.
- Experience supporting senior-level military personnel.
- Experience integrating WPS into military relationship development.

Salary Range: $140,000-$160,000
