Help us secure the internet for our customersAs a Security Consultant, serve as the main contact for security services, ensuring seamless integration and support for customers. Provide expert guidance in a dynamic field, implementing innovative solutions that help customers utilize Akamai's security products effectively to meet objectives.
As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to understand customer use cases and tuning solutions to meet client needs
- Partnering with sales teams internally to fully understand customer business needs in order to ensure their success
- Participating on internal projects to contribute to best practices, improving our methodology and quality of solution delivery
- Participating in training and projects contributing to best practices, maximizing efficiency, and improving methodology and service quality
Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:
- Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Demonstrate experience with internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL and how CDNs work
- Have relevant customer facing experience within a consultative environment
- Have achieved or be interested in obtaining cyber security credentials such as Security+, SSCP, GSEC or others
- Demonstrate knowledge of project management concepts and techniques
- Have knowledge of implementation concepts that deal with web development, IT systems or security practice
CompensationAkamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from 70,600 - 127,000 CAD/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
