Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Security Architect II Turning compliance guidelines into business requirements, technical specifications, and frameworks for use by internal teams and external assessors. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to understand Akamai web-scale systems and guiding company to efficiently meet security obligations. Helping customers achieve their security objectives and fine-tune controls to help ensure optimal protection levels are achieved. Partnering with internal stakeholders such as sales reps, project managers, technical support and engineering. Taking ownership for technical aspects of integration and supporting steps to go live, identifying and mitigating risks. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States. AG1030

Required Qualification:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Networks, Information Systems, or IT.

Completion of a university level course, internship, thesis, or research project involving the following: Network traffic monitoring and analysis; DDoS detection and mitigation support; TCP/IP protocol suite (TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP/S, SSH, NTP, IPsec); Access Control Lists (ACLs) configuration; Security incident monitoring and escalation; Log analysis and alert triage; Threat detection and analysis; Network security fundamentals; Incident documentation and reporting.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $125,070 - $181,300 /year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
