Job Description

SAIC is looking for a Security Analyst to provide physical security and facilities support to Global Deterrence and Defense Department customers at NSWC Crane. Position will be full time in a Classified environment at the customer site.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Candidate will manage building access (entry/exit and lab access), maintain physical security, and lead implementation of security program, preparing new procedures and making updates as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment
  • Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to operations
  • Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
  • Prepare manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records; and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted spaces, records and materials
  • Conduct security education classes and security audits
  • Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken
  • Maintain Facility Clearance
  • Maintain building access list
  • Support government and company audits and inspections
  • Assist with travel preparations and visit requests
  • Submit VARs
  • Validate clearances for building visitors and provide escort
  • Organize, schedule, and support Classified Meetings and CVTCs
  • Provide input for status reports
  • Administer Emergency Action Plan Training for facility
  • Administer Security Operating Procedure for building
  • Order equipment and materials for building as needed
  • Submit facility work orders as needed


Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years or more of related experience; or seven (7) years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree will be accepted
  • Customer Service oriented with strong oral and written communication skills. This position will require heavy interface with various customers/stakeholders
  • Experience writing SOPs, procedures, and processes
  • Facility security administration, law enforcement, military experience or similar
  • Interim Secret with required to start with the ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship required

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Familiarity with control and entry systems, alarm and intrusion detection systems
  • Experience with security procedures and physical security systems at NSWC Crane
