The Security Administrative Assistant supports an organization's security administration by delivering clerical, office management, and process improvement services. The role focuses on maintaining effective security administration for classified and controlled unclassified information, supporting operations, and streamlining administrative processes. Success in this role requires professionalism, adaptability, and specialized expertise in office automation and security support within complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
• Perform daily clerical and administrative tasks (e.g., typing, filing, correspondence, report preparation).
• Manage office records, publications, files, and personnel documents according to established practices.
• Receive visitors and handle telephone communications.
• Prepare and route correspondence, reports, and maintain security-related files.
• Counsel office personnel on administrative matters and serve as office manager.
• Compile narrative and statistical reports, presentations, flyers, and news briefs as directed.
• Report daily and weekly task accomplishments, outstanding actions, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Office Automation and Reporting
• Create, edit, format, and print a variety of office documents and spreadsheets.
• Update and maintain purchase request logs, track office supply needs, and follow up on outstanding requests.
• Maintain tickler system for required administrative deadlines and provide regular status reports.
Security Administration
• Review and process outbound/inbound visit requests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Issue and recover identification badges using electronic badging/access control systems.
• Maintain controls for sensitive information, personnel suitability determinations, and security databases.
• Coordinate visitor access and support investigations and security clearances.
• Prepare check-in/check-out documentation for personnel and update records for eligibility and access.
• Provide consolidated task reports and notify stakeholders of investigation status changes.
Continuous Improvement and Compliance
• Review manuals and directives to ensure policies and procedures are current.
• Recommend improved methods for records management, staffing, administrative services, and office workflows.
• Assist with purchase card administration and documentation.
• Conduct process analyses for ongoing improvement and compliance.
• Produce meeting minutes and deliver written recommendations and status updates.

Qualifications
Required:
• 2+ years of relevant general experience, including specialized analytical and programmatic work
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required
• Experience with MOUs/IAAs: Documentation, routing verification, and management
• Experience generating reports and interpreting databases
• Ability to read and interpret procedural guidelines
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience in security administration within government, military, or regulated industries.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives.
• Previous use of electronic badging and access control systems.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information in compliance with federal regulations.
• Flexibility to work adjusted or extended hours during critical events, as needed.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,750 to $171,250.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
