As a Section Leader, you will play a key role in talent acquisition, goal setting, career development, performance management, and compensation processes. You will ensure that each team member is assigned meaningful work and provided with appropriate opportunities for growth and advancement. In addition, you will uphold employee compliance with all company policies and procedures.
This position includes oversight of approximately 15-20 engineers supporting airborne kill chain efforts. You will serve as a central point of coordination and mentorship within the department, applying strong influence and collaboration skills to promote effective teamwork and interdependent execution.
The Section Leader responsibilities represent approximately 10-20% of the role. In this capacity, you will provide both administrative and technical leadership to the section while maintaining your ongoing engineering responsibilities and supporting department- and directorate-level initiatives.
What You Will Do- Provide oversight of team activities in the development of studies of system, system-of-systems, and/or kill chain performance.
- Interact with section members in evaluating new concepts of operation and developing new technology use cases.
- Interact with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, and Technical SMEs as well as with the customer community and air combat warfighter community to share status, issues, and address programmatic concerns.
- Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition while supporting department and directorate level initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience in the defense industry and working with DoD, Pentagon, or military customers
- Experience leading an engineering team
- Experience in defense modeling, high-fidelity simulations, weapon systems, and/or kill chain analysis
Qualifications We Prefer- Master's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is preferred
- Experience in cross-industry collaboration with industry partners, customers, and warfighters
- Experience in developing and/or using high performance or high-fidelity simulations in defense applications.
- Top Secret / SCI Clearance, Experience with computer communication through ports, sockets, and UDP/TCP
- Experience with Python and C++, Experience as a Control Account Manager
- Experience in Earned Value Management System Certification, Competency with Microsoft Office tool suite including Project, Engineering domain experience in defense sensors, missiles, and/or electronic warfare systems.
- Experience in leadership skills and outstanding communication skills is required.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
