Responsibilities

  • Manage program timing in collaboration with the JIT Program Manager.
  • Oversee the product release lifecycle by maintaining BOMs and managing design revisions.
  • Design and launch seat systems or components through the GPDS process.
  • Manage QWCT (Quality, Weight, Cost, Timing) for assigned parts.
  • Lead and participate in various program-related meetings, some of which will require chairing by the D&R Engineer.
  • Develop Design Verification Plans for seat components and ensure compliance with System Design Specifications and Federal Regulations.
  • Create and maintain Gantt charts and timing schedules for projects and parts.

Full Job Description
Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery of overall program timing together with JIT Program Manager.
  • Handle product release lifecycle: create and maintain BOMs, manage design revisions using change management systems.
  • Design, Develop, Release and Launch seat systems or components through GPDS (PRE-PSC to J1).
  • QWCT (Quality, Weight, Cost, Timing) management for assigned parts.
  • Attend program related meetings: To4, Seat complete, EMMs, TDRMs, supplier meetings, purchasing meetings, etc. Some of them should be led by the D&R Engineer.
  • Develop and execute Seat system/component level Design Verification Plans, support vehicle/system level DVP, and ensure compliance to all System Design Specifications (SDS) and Federal Regulations including unique Export Market Requirements.
  • Create and maintain a timing/Gantt chart (PDP) for assigned parts and project.
  • Keep a prevent recurrence actions /lessons learned / required design rules list, and cascade to Core team.
  • Coordinate with other areas to make sure design intent meets all requirements (Seat Complete, Seat Structure, Seat Features, Studio, Safety, Craftsmanship, VO, PVT, Supplier, Tool shop, Purchasing, Finance, Program, etc.)
  • Lead integration of seating components into the seat system
  • understand and effectively utilize product check-in/check-out processes, version control, data release, and change management within Ford's PLM ecosystem.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of engineering on: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial or related.
  • MS Office expertise (including Project).
  • Proficient English (Reading, listening and writing).
  • Seat system or component parts design and manufacturing knowledge/experience.
  • Product development and parts verification/validation experience.
  • FEDE, ADS, FSMS, GPDS, E2KS and WERS systems knowledge.
  • FMEA knowledge and Experience.
  • Able to read and conceptualize 2D and 3D Engineering Drawings (including GD&T).
  • Teamcenter, Tc VisMockup and CATIA (Basic) knowledge.
  • Excellent Spanish/English communication skills.
  • Excellent graphical communication skills (sketching).
  • Able to explain complex engineering concepts to other areas: Studio, Program, etc.
  • Structured problem solving and thinking.
