Sea Logistics Financial Performance Specialist Our Sea Logistics team is looking for a new Sea Logistics Financial Performance Specialist to join our organization and help drive profitability, operational excellence, and financial performance across our U.S. Sea Logistics business. As a member of the Sea Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in uncovering opportunities to improve financial results, recover operational losses, and strengthen billing accuracy. By partnering with operational, pricing, trade management, and finance teams, you will help identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that positively impact business performance nationwide. As a Sea Logistics Financial Performance Specialist, you will combine operational knowledge, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills to support strategic initiatives that increase profitability and reduce financial leakage. Your work will influence business decisions and contribute directly to the success of one of the world's leading logistics providers. How you create impact In this highly collaborative role, you will work closely with Sea Logistics Operations, Pricing, Trade Management, and Finance teams to improve profitability, identify recovery opportunities, and strengthen financial controls across the national organization. - Analyze and reduce loss files, deferred files, detention and demurrage (D&D), and other operational cost variances. - Conduct customer and account profitability analyses to identify margin improvement opportunities. - Partner with Pricing and Trade Management teams to identify drivers of margin erosion and recommend corrective actions. - Support financial recovery initiatives focused on reducing revenue leakage and improving operating results. - Investigate billing discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to improve billing accuracy. - Collaborate with operational teams to implement corrective actions that strengthen financial performance. - Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide meaningful business insights. - Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase operational efficiency, and support revenue retention strategies. - Collaborate with national and global stakeholders to support Sea Logistics financial performance objectives. The ideal candidate combines Sea Logistics operational knowledge with strong financial acumen and a passion for continuous improvement. - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - 4+ years of experience in Sea Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Financial Analysis, Billing, or related operational finance roles. - Strong understanding of Sea Logistics operations and financial billing processes. - Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience conducting profitability, margin, revenue, or cost analyses. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. - Ability to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations based on data. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams. - Full professional proficiency in English.
