Full Job Description
Alberta Health Services (AHS), Southeast Corridor invites applications for the role of Corridor Medical Advisor (CMA) - Physician Recruitment MHRH. This position is a Medical Leadership role governed by the Medical Staff Rules and is responsible for promoting and representing the physician recruitment activities of the Corridor Clinical Departments and reports to the SE Corridor Medical Lead (CML).

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Advancing the perspective, advice and physician resource requirements of Corridor Clinical Departments
• Promoting and representing the physician recruitment activities of the Corridor Clinical Departments.
• Collaboration with other Medical and Operational leaders in the Southwest Corridor and AHS provincially.
• Collaboration with external stakeholders including, but not limited to, Alberta Health (AH), Alberta Medical Association (AMA), College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), and Community Leaders.
• Work collaboratively with Corridor Medical Affairs to maintain the Practitioner Workforce Plan.
• Work collaboratively with Corridor Medical Affairs in all phases of physician recruitment and retention.
• In conjunction with Corridor Medical Affairs and Site/Department Operational Leads, review and promote the most effective utilization of resources.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated abilities in communication, conflict resolution and have a passion for quality and patient safety. The successful applicant will also have a Corridor-Wide perspective and an approach to leadership of contributing to the broader vision. The CMA will collaboratively engage with HMDs, ACMLs, CCDL & CCSL as well as health care providers, and other AHS services for the implementation and delivery of strategies for improved healthcare and safe, quality patient care.
