The AWS Field Experience team provides our customer-facing teams with a suite of products that streamline communication between the field and the specialists within the AWS Worldwide Sales organization. We are part of AWS Field Experience Engineering, enabling our field teams with world-class software and automated mechanisms to scale. Our team's services enable Amazonians all over the world to engage experts across the hundreds of AWS services that are expanding every day by traversing the vast organization. Our product is launching in new directions, enabling you to get in and make fundamental contributions to the trajectory of this effort.
As a Software Engineer at Amazon, you will work on distributed cloud systems. As part of this team, you will be responsible for helping design and build the systems that together power our service. You will have the opportunity to work on full-stack development of the user experience for this service. Members of our team have areas of focus, but our general stack includes back-end API development using AWS Lambda, security and identity, NoSQL data storage on DynamoDB, complex event orchestration and automation, real-time data processing, and infrastructure automation using tools like CloudFormation and AWS CDK.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
