Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a Scrum Master to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission-critical systems in defense of our Homeland. The Scrum Master will facilitate and ensure the effective implementation of Agile practices, fostering a collaborative and productive environment for a federal client's operations. As a crucial member of our team, the Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in guiding teams through Agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

This position is on-site in Colorado Springs, CO and requires Secret Clearance.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration and continuous improvement

- Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Facilitate collaboration and communication between development, operations, and business teams to ensure alignment on project goals and seamless integration of deliverables

- Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team's progress, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow

- Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with product owners, development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables

- Monitor Progress: Track and report on team performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability

- Promote Agile Principles: Advocate for Agile values and principles within the organization, driving adoption and adherence to Agile methodologies

- Continuous Improvement: Encourage and facilitate process improvements to enhance team efficiency and product quality

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

- Active Secret clearance is required.

- Due to contract requirements, only US Citizens can be considered.

- 7+ years of experience supporting IT programs in an Agile environment, including serving as a Scrum Master and facilitating Agile delivery teams.

- Candidates must reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and on-call requirements.

- This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

- DHS Suitability

- Agile certifications such as:

- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)

- SAFe Agilist (SA)

- Or other related certifications
