Description & Requirements

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Scrum Master to join our team. This is a 100% remote opportunity.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) effectively and efficiently.
  • Coach the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Coach the Product Owner on maximizing value and refining the Product Backlog.
  • Guide the organization in its adoption of Scrum, helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact empirical product development.
  • Lead the team in continuous improvement efforts, leveraging retrospectives to enhance processes, tools, and team dynamics.
  • Promote transparency by ensuring clear communication of team progress, challenges, and metrics to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between the Scrum Team and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and delivery of HR technology projects.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team, preferably within an HR or enterprise systems context.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices (Scrum)
  • Experience with .NET development environments and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira).


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in Human Resources (HR) or with HR-related systems.
  • Additional Agile certifications (e.g., A-CSM, PSM II, SAFe Scrum Master).
  • Technical background in Oracle development or related technologies.
  • Experience with change management and organizational transformation.
  • Experience working with the Air Force or Space Force


Clearance Requirements:
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
