The Role You'll Play to Create Success

We are happy to announce a full-time Scrum Master position in Clearwater, FL!
The purpose of every employee at FrankCrum is to help businesses grow and prosper by providing products and services that foster stability and security. This job contributes to the mission of FrankCrum by facilitating the adoption of Agile practices within our software development process and ensure the smooth implementation of Scrum, removing impediments, coaching team members, and leading daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
  1. Leads daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews, ensuring that these meetings are productive, time-boxed, and result-oriented.
  2. Creates an environment where all team members feel comfortable sharing ideas and feedback.
  3. Fosters an open dialogue within the team, encouraging transparent communication and information sharing.
  4. Assists the Product Owner in managing and grooming the product backlog, prioritizing user stories, and ensuring clear communication of requirements.
  5. Identifies and addresses issues or blockers proactively that impede the team's progress, working with relevant stakeholders to resolve challenges.
  6. Resolves conflicts and managing challenging team dynamics to ensure a harmonious and effective work environment.
  7. Assists the team understand Scrum principles and Agile best practices, fostering self-organization and continuous improvement.
  8. Coaches the Product Owner and development team to enhance their skills in backlog management, story refinement, and prioritization.
  9. Guides the development team towards self-organization, accountability, and continuous learning.
  10. Acts as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on progress, risks, and upcoming milestones.
  11. Adjusts to changes in project scope, timelines, or team dynamics without losing focus on the overall objective.
  12. Adapts facilitation style and approach based on the maturity and needs of the team.
  13. Remains open to experimenting with different Agile practices, such as blending Kanban with Scrum, to find the best fit for the team.
  14. Keeps the team focused on sprint goals and long-term objectives by managing priorities and maintaining clear workflows.
  15. Uses key Scrum metrics like burndown charts, velocity, and sprint health reports to provide insights into team performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  16. Drives retrospectives with actionable outcomes, focusing on process improvements that boost productivity, quality, and team morale.
