The Scientist will support laboratory operations, technology assessment, test and evaluation, scientific testing, and laboratory process improvement.

Work Description:In support of a Federal Government client, the Scientist will support laboratory operations, scientific testing, technology assessment, test and evaluation, and laboratory process improvement activities. This role includes assisting with equipment calibration and maintenance, testing and implementing new technologies, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing clear written documentation such as templates, SOPs, reports, dashboards, and other deliverables. The Scientist will work with multidisciplinary teams, including data scientists, engineers, analysts, and other technical staff, to review scientific findings, improve laboratory workflows, and support mission-focused research and development efforts.
Responsibilities:- Laboratory Support, to include equipment calibration and maintenance
- Testing and implementing new technologies
- Collect, review, and analyze data
- Develop templates, SOPs, and other documentation
- Improve laboratory processes
- Work with diverse teams including data scientists, engineers, and analysts to review data and contribute to reports, dashboards, and other deliverables
Requirements:- U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline
- Experience with laboratory operations, scientific testing, or research and development
- Ability to summarize scientific findings and communicate them orally and in writing
- Familiarity with common laboratory equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with systems engineering and technology assessment
- Federal experience
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools
- Experience with inventory management
