Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist/Manager to join our Single Cell Multiomics team. This role works closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists to develop and support innovative assay products for the BD Rhapsody™ single-cell sequencing platform. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and next-generation sequencing (NGS), along with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
JobResponsibilities:
• Lead development from feasibility through optimization, verification, validation, and tech transfer to support high-quality product launches.
• Partner with commercial, engineering, bioinformatics, quality, and operations teams to launch reagents and consumables.
• Support Operations to finalize manufacturing specifications, BOMs, SOPs, and QC protocols.
• Provide sustaining support for launched products to maintain consistent quality.
• Design and perform hands-on experiments to meet development goals.
• Review scientific literature and development data to guide project progress.
• Develop protocols, technical notes, posters, and presentations that show Rhapsody platform performance.
• Build a collaborative, focused team with clear communication, timely decisions, and strong problem-solving.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or a related field
• 8+ years of research experience, including 5+ years of industry experience in a related field
• Extensive experience with RNA-seq and other next-generation sequencing techniques, including library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to develop assay products, critically analyze data, and maintain excellent experimental records
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with commercial assay reagent development
• Experience with spatial genomics and/or proteomics
• Experience with single cell multiomics assays
• Experience with biopharma/translational single cell multiomics applications
• Experience with NGS library prep automation
• Immunology background

$137,500.00 - $220,100.00 USD Annual
