Full Job Description
As a Scientist II, Assay Development, you will be an integral part of our dedicated Research & Development team. You will lead and execute scientific research and development activities with a significant focus on immunoturbidimetric assay (ITA) technologies for clinical diagnostic applications. You will lead assay development projects from concept through verification, validation and commercialization, applying your expertise in immunochemistry and protein science to design, develop, optimize and troubleshoot robust and reproducible ITA assays. As a technical resource within the organization, you will also collaborate across functions to support technology transfer, manufacturing and broader product development initiatives, while remaining actively engaged in routine laboratory activities required to support R&D operations and project objectives.

To succeed in this role, you will have a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology or a related scientific discipline with a minimum of five years of directly related industry experience; an M.Sc. or Ph.D. is preferred. You should have direct hands-on experience developing, optimizing, troubleshooting and validating immunoturbidimetric assays, with strong knowledge of immunochemistry, antigen-antibody interactions, analytical method development and assay performance characterization. Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical analysis tools, Design Control, GDP/GLP requirements and IVD regulatory requirements would be considered an asset. Experience within the IVD, clinical diagnostics, biotechnology or life sciences industry is strongly preferred.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $94,500 - $110,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.

If this sounds like the role for you, please apply for immediate consideration!
