About the Role
As an Analytical Chemistry Scientist in the Dose Concentration Analysis (DCA) team, you will provide technical and scientific expertise in the required assay for method development, validation/qualification and execution of analytical projects in support of preclinical/clinical studies. This will require rigorous attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively on interdisciplinary teams of study directors, quality assurance, and other departmental personnel. Bring your strong schedule and work management skills to perform contracted projects according to the timeline provided and excellent data analysis skills with the ability to critically review data for scientific/technical merit and accuracy. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and possible clients will be necessary. Finally, our scientists need the ability to understand and conduct work under appropriate regulatory requirements.
What You’ll do Here
Perform all study work in compliance with GLP regulations and maintain all related documentation in accordance with SOPs, protocol, and analytical plans
Accountable for planning and managing timeline of assigned studies
Review analytical data to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency and regulatory compliance
Respond to client inquires as needed to assist in study and assay design
Provide scientific guidance and participate in the validation/qualification of new and current methods that are used in support of preclinical/clinical studies
Prepare and modify SOPs as needed
Provide indirect or direct line support of laboratory staff as assigned
Design and execute appropriate analytical methods; critically review data and write study reports
Serve as responsible/contributing scientist/principal investigator on GLP studies and as scientific resource for junior staff, peers and study directors
Interact with clients through execution of analytical studies and provide on-time communication
Work with departmental management to sustain analytical businesses with good science and regulation compliance
Maintain all related study work documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), study protocol, and analytical plans
Prepare abstracts and posters for presentation at scientific conferences
What You’ll Need to Succeed
BS/MS in a biological or pharmaceutical science or related field with 4+ years in a related field; PhD and 2+ years relevant post-graduate experience
Experience with method development, execution, analysis and writing scientific reports required
Analytical background required; GLP experience preferred
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
English proficiency required to read, write, review, interpret and summarize scientific material
Effective communication to diverse groups: clients, vendors, internal and external colleagues
Advanced maths skills as required for data analysis, interpretation and graphical presentation skills
Remain current with state-of-the-art technology
Remain current with regulatory guidance and industry standards related to analysis
Multi-tasking and strong organizational and project management skills
Experience with Empower software preferred

What We Offer
The pay range estimated for this position is $85,000 - $102,000 annually. Please note that hourly rates/salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
