The Opportunity

• Support the protein outsourcing process and contribute to protein purification and characterization strategies.
• Manage weekly protein outsourcing assignments.
• Manage weekly protein receiving, sorting, and distribution.
• Perform QC analysis on antibodies and proteins
• Apply a deep understanding of antibody and protein purification and characterization principles.
• Routinely perform QC analyses, including but not limited to mass spectrometry, SEC-MALS, analytical HPLC, LAL, SDS-PAGE, and mass photometry.
• Interact closely with scientists daily, necessitating excellent written and oral communication skills
• Explore and apply new techniques and technologies to solve antibody purification and characterization challenges.
• Contribute to protein purification and characterization method development strategies.

Who You Are (Required)

• Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in the Biological Sciences should have at least 3-4 years of scientific experience, and applicants with a Master’s degree in the Biological Sciences should have at least 1 - 3 years of relevant experience

• Familiarity with protein and antibody analytical methods includes SDS-PAGE, Analytical

• HPLC, Endotoxin detection, SEC-MALS, and mass spectrometry.

• Experience in protein and antibody purification and characterization includes using AKTA systems.

• Demonstrated track record of working independently in a collaborative team-oriented setting, aligning with group vision and mission.

• Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail, operate efficiently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.

• Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with other scientific staff.

• Proficiency with standard computer applications and scientific software.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

Experience with Mass Photometry is highly desired.

A background in Mass Spectrometry is a plus.

A dedicated team player willing to work within a core facility environment.

The expected salary range for this position based on California is 87 000,00 - 161 600,00 USD Annual Annual.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
