Full Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented SCI Security Specialist I to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

This role supports the local Special Security Office (SSO) in managing day-to-day Collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities to protect critical national security assets.

Responsibilities
  • Formulate local policies, plans, and procedures required to manage SCI protection functions in strict accordance with DoD, DNI, and Air Force regulations.
  • Maintain and update the SCI Billet Structure (SCIBS) and Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) records for over 1,000 indoctrinated personnel.
  • Review eligibility requests, conduct screening interviews, perform indoctrination briefings, and issue facility badge access.
  • Investigate security incidents alongside the SSO and ISSM, coordinate with higher headquarters for tracking numbers, and guide Inquiry Officials through the resolution process.
  • Provide continuous operational security (OPSEC), communications security (COMSEC), and classification marking training to personnel.
  • Coordinate industrial security procedures by reviewing Performance Work Statements (PWS) and ensuring the proper execution of DD Form 254.
  • Assist the SSO in maintaining facility accreditation and alarm systems for all designated SCI Facilities (SCIFs) in accordance with ICD 705.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 additional years of equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of related experience working directly with SCI Security program functions.
  • Must complete DISS/JPAS training within six months of starting on contract
  • Familiarity with government security policy manuals, including applicable ICDs, JAFANs, and DoD Manuals.


Clearance Requirements
  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • A willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph is required.


Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside and out of the office to access files, cabinets, and safes.
  • The person in this position must be willing to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility via both air and ground transportation.


The projected compensation range for this position is $75,500.00-$125,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
