Full Job Description
At Boston Speech Therapy, we are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team, available for a full-time in-person position at a competitive rate of $90 to 100 per hour . In this role, you will provide psychological services to support the academic and emotional needs of students You will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to help students succeed. This position allows for flexibility in scheduling to accommodate varying workloads and commitments. This position is for middle school, which is grades 6-8.

In-person position!

Responsibilities
  • Runs social skills groups with the speech pathologists.
  • Runs small group counseling and individual counseling and completes evaluations. Evaluations could be cognitive, functional behavior assessments, observations, or rating scales.
  • Supports the case managers in scheduling and attending meetings as necessary.
  • Assists the assistant principal with building happenings when needed and may also be involved if there is peer conflict.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to student progress discussions.

Requirements
    • Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field
    • RI School Psychology License
    • Experience in conducting assessments and providing counseling in an educational setting
    • Knowledge of special education laws and best practices
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
