Requirements:- Earned Master's Degree
- Current applicable New York State administrative certification
- Prior successful experience in leadership roles at the elementary level (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities - The principal will be expected to:Academic and Instructional
- Foster an uncompromising commitment to increasing student achievement and the graduation rate with an emphasis on college and career readiness
- Provide instructional leadership, coaching, and support to teachers who are working with a
diverse student body
- Ensure the use of a wide variety of assessments that, together, reflect the educational philosophy of the
District and prepare students to excel on state assessment measures
- Demonstrate the ability to facilitate the execution of the standards-based curriculum with an emphasis
on technology integration
- Demonstrate a strong understanding and ability to lead the Data Analysis and Planning Process
- Possess a clear understanding of special education and English Language Learner regulations
and educational programming
School Culture and Community
- Define and build a transformative school culture consistent with the District's Strategic Plan for
Continuous Improvement and School Comprehensive Education Plan
- Demonstrate success with developing and maintaining positive relationships with all members of the
community to accomplish the goals of the District
- Believe in and support implementation of alternative and innovative methods of assisting students in
meeting expectations
- Demonstrate an understanding of a progressive approach to conflict resolution and student discipline
- Communicate the district's vision and goals
- Understand the importance of diversity and inclusion and to promote experiences, interactions, and
activities to support these
- Demonstrate the ability to use multiple sources of data collection to assess student performance
and plan instruction
Operations, Finance, and Compliance
- Manage and support school operations staff
- Report on activities, organizational development progress, and student achievement
- Monitor the school's budget and ensure daily financial and business activities are in compliance with the
District's fiscal policies
- Ensure school alignment and/or progress toward alignment with organizational goals for diversity
