JOB SUMMARY:The School Based Health Centers Director is a leadership position that works closely with Medical Leadership and Operations teams to support the successful expansion, improvement, and integration of school-based health center youth-focused programs. This position oversees school-based health center programming, including staff supervision, quality assurance, school and community partnerships, strategic and program planning, budgeting, and fiscal and operational viability across St. John's Community Health's School Based Health Centers.

Education: (Preferred)- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Public Health or a related field preferred.
- Three years of experience in a supervisory or management position preferred.
- Previous experience effectively supervising two or more employees preferred.
- Cultural competence working in diverse and low-income communities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets across funds and cost centers; experience managing grants and contracts preferred.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively across multiple SBHC locations, both in person and remotely.
- Familiarity working within school systems strongly preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms a combination, but not necessarily all, of the following duties:
- In collaboration with Regional Directors, design and implement school-based health center youth-focused programs and ensure successful integration with medical and behavioral health services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with the organization's mission, strategic plan, adolescent health principles, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and administer program budgets, monitor financial performance, and control expenditures within authorized appropriations.
- Support grant proposals and ensure relevant data collection and timely submission of required reports.
- Maintain productive working relationships with school personnel, school districts, public agencies, and community organizations.
- Collaborate with school principals, administrators, district personnel, and community partners to integrate SBHC services and troubleshoot partnership challenges.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate outreach strategies to expand participation in SBHC youth-focused programs.
- Maintain quality assurance and continuous quality improvement efforts in partnership with Regional Directors and Behavioral Health.
- Directly supervise program staff, including hiring, training, assigning work, coaching, providing feedback, and supporting professional development.
- Practice open and effective communication with staff, providers, support departments, and leadership.
