Job Description

Job summary: As a Master Scheduler in our repair station, you will develop and manage the master repair schedule across induction, inspection, repair, testing, and shipping. This Master Scheduler job blends technical planning with hands-on coordination, ensuring material availability, technician capacity, repair routing accuracy, and customer commitments align. It's a Master Scheduler career built for someone who thrives in fast-moving repair environments and likes turning complexity into smooth, predictable workflows.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Master Repair Schedule: Build and maintain the MRO master schedule across repair cells, balancing customer due dates, standard repair times, priorities, and constraints.
  • Coordinate repair planning: Translate repair orders into actionable plans; sequence work based on induction rates, technician skills, tooling, and test equipment availability.
  • Manage capacity & materials: Perform load-vs-capacity analysis; review material and component availability; drive kit completeness, alternates, or expedite actions when needed.
  • Control WIP flow: Manage repair and overhaul routing steps, monitor bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to maintain stable flow across inspection, teardown, repair, and test.
  • Daily execution: Run daily production/tier meetings; publish near-term execution plans; identify risks early and implement recovery plans for past-due or at-risk repairs.
  • Repair loop accuracy: Ensure configuration, repair codes, part applicability, and routing steps reflect the latest technical data.
  • Customer communication: Provide accurate promise dates, turnaround times (TAT), and status updates; support customer escalations with data-driven recovery options.
  • Performance improvement: Track schedule adherence, TAT, WIP aging, bottlenecks, and rework cycles; lead improvement projects to reduce repair cycle time.
  • Data & ERP stewardship: Maintain correct lead times, work centers, calendars, repair routings, and planning parameters in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Continuous improvement: Support lean events, standard work creation, and optimization of repair sequences and planning rules.
