Job DescriptionScheduler II - Structured CablingSUMMARY:Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced
Scheduler II - Structured Cabling to join our team.This role will perform routine planning and scheduling assignments that require the selection and application of basic scheduling principles and techniques.
Location: TBD - location and project will be assigned. This role will require 100% travel on a rotational basis (on average it could be 3-4 weeks on a project site / about 1 week at home. This schedule is an estimate as it is also based on project need)**Traveling opportunities across the U.S. include but not limited to: LA, TX, CA, NM, WY, WI, IN, UT, IL
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Work with site teams and trade partners in the development of project schedules using common CPM scheduling programs
- Support supervision through the monitoring and updating of project schedules
- Assist site management to formulate mitigation plans to correct scheduling problems
- Assist with proposals and pursuit schedules as needed
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent field
- 2+ years of construction experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Experience with Primavera (P6) scheduling software
- Knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices and company software
- Basic knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing
- Ability to exercise creativity and mature judgement in anticipating and solving problems
- Basic plan and specification reading, review and interpretation skills
- Basic knowledge of project management, contracts and buyout
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions
- Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete and timely fashion
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
- Ability to travel up to 100%
- Preview experience as a Project Engineer (preferred)

The base compensation range for this role is: $89,500 - $120,800. Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
