Full Job Description
We are actively seeking a talented Manager, Scheduler & Early Career Programs to join our Consumer Markets Division Sales organization in Omaha, NE.

The Manager will lead and develop a team of Schedulers who provide non-licensed administrative scheduling support to assigned Field Wholesaler and Internal Wholesaler teams. The Manager will establish clear operating expectations, coach for quality and consistency, monitor results, and continually improve the scheduling model so wholesalers can spend more time deepening advisor relationships and driving business priorities.

The Manager will also serve as the primary day-to-day business partner for CMD Sales early-career recruiting and internship efforts, working closely with the Sales Associate Director and Pacific Life University Relations. This includes cultivating relationships with local colleges and universities, especially sales and business programs, coordinating campus engagement, supporting candidate attraction and selection, and helping deliver a high-quality Sales intern experience. University Relations retains enterprise ownership of early-career programs and processes; this role represents and coordinates the business-area strategy, needs, execution, and feedback for CMD Sales.

This role does not have Sales Associates as direct reports and is not responsible for Sales Associate licensing, product training, presentation practice, or Internal Wholesaler readiness development.

This role is on-site. You will work at our Omaha site and are required to be in the office 4 days per week.

How You Will Help Move Us Forward
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Schedulers, creating clear expectations for outreach quality, calendar management, CRM documentation, professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through.
  • Own the day-to-day operating model for Scheduler coverage, workload allocation, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, engagement, and team culture.
  • Partner with Field Wholesalers, Internal Wholesalers, and Sales leadership to align Scheduler activity with regional priorities and continuously improve scheduling support.
  • Serve as the primary CMD Sales business partner to University Relations for early-career recruiting, university engagement, and the Sales intern program, alongside the Sales Associate Director.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local colleges and universities, including faculty, career services, student organizations, and sales and business programs, in alignment with University Relations strategy and standards.
  • Translate CMD Sales workforce needs into clear early-career recruiting priorities, campus plans, candidate profiles, event participation, and intern staffing recommendations.
  • Coordinate the Sales business-area intern experience, including manager readiness, meaningful work, onboarding, development, engagement, feedback, and conversion planning, in partnership with University Relations and participating leaders.
  • Use data, stakeholder feedback, and observation to evaluate Scheduler effectiveness, campus engagement, candidate pipelines, intern experience, and program outcomes, then recommend adjustments.
  • Build a culture of accountability, belonging, development, service, and continuous improvement across the Scheduler team and early-career programs.

What You Will Do Day-to-Day
  • Set daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly priorities for the Scheduler team and ensure work is aligned to wholesaling needs.
  • Coach Schedulers through call review, observation, written communication review, one-on-one conversations, and individualized development plans.
  • Monitor scheduling activity and outcomes, calendar accuracy, outreach quality, CRM documentation, schedule changes, and follow-up completion.
  • Hold team members accountable to established expectations using both quantitative and qualitative measures.
  • Review coverage needs, assign Scheduler support, coordinate backup coverage, and adjust staffing or workflows as business priorities change.
  • Implement and reinforce consistent scheduling processes, scripts, service standards, controls, and escalation paths.
  • Partner with Sales leaders and wholesaling teams to gather feedback, resolve recurring issues, identify best practices, and pilot process improvements.
  • Ensure effective use of Salesforce, Outlook, Teams, Calendly, approved call tools, and other business systems used by the team.
  • Recruit, interview, select, onboard, and retain Schedulers in partnership with Talent Acquisition and HR.
  • Partner with University Relations on our CMD Sales campus engagement plan based on business hiring needs and enterprise early-career strategy.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with priority colleges and universities and represent Pacific Life at approved career fairs, classroom visits, student organization events, networking programs, competitions, and other campus activities.
  • Coordinate Sales leader, employee, and alumni participation in campus events, including preparation, messaging, materials, logistics, and follow-up.
  • Support candidate attraction, keep-warm engagement, interview coordination, candidate experience, and business feedback in partnership with University Relations and Talent Acquisition.
  • Coordinate the Sales intern program with University Relations, including role planning, manager expectations, onboarding readiness, meaningful projects, mentorship, development experiences, communication, feedback, and end-of-program evaluation.
  • Serve as an accessible point of contact between Sales interns and University Relations, escalating enterprise program, policy, payroll, housing, travel, or employee-relations questions to the appropriate University Relations, HR, or business partner.
  • Track and share outcomes such as campus engagement, candidate progression, accepted offers, intern experience feedback, conversion readiness, Scheduler performance, and stakeholder satisfaction using approved measures and definitions.
  • Manage competing priorities, event timelines, and seasonal recruiting demands, including occasional local travel and evening events as needed.
  • Adhere to the Pacific Life Code of Conduct and applicable company, industry, regulatory, recruiting, privacy, and employment guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Scheduler team, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, engagement, workload management, and day-to-day operating support.
  • Own Scheduler operations and continuous improvement by aligning coverage to business priorities, reviewing activity and quality, standardizing processes, resolving barriers, and reporting results.
  • Serve as the primary CMD Sales business partner to University Relations for early-career recruiting and campus relationships, including annual planning, events, stakeholder coordination, candidate engagement, and business feedback.
  • Coordinate the CMD Sales intern experience in partnership with University Relations and intern managers, including planning, onboarding readiness, projects, development, manager support, feedback, and conversion discussions.
  • Support broader leadership priorities, cross-functional initiatives, compliance expectations, and team culture activities as assigned.
