OverviewTecolote Research, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Schedule Analyst to provide expert-level scheduling support for complex research, development, and production programs. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership in schedule risk management, and a thorough understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of applicable experience, including at least 13-15 years in direct aerospace and R&D environments.
Responsibilities - Independently develop, manage, and analyze detailed research, development, and production schedules for large and medium-scale programs and projects.
- Create and maintain Integrated Master Plans (IMPs) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs).
- Provide subject matter expertise in the use of integrated scheduling tools and techniques to support schedule and resource data integration.
- Perform and guide probabilistic schedule risk assessments and schedule health analyses using advanced tools and methodologies.
- Apply expert knowledge of Earned Value Management (EIA-748 standard) to align schedule, cost, and technical performance measures.
- Mentor and guide lower-level schedulers and cross-functional team members, including engineering and project control staff.
- Analyze and reconcile budget and resource requirements with program scope and timelines, and manage impacts due to evolving project parameters.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across NASA Centers, government agencies, industry, and academia on program scheduling, EVM, and project control strategies.
- Utilize a variety of commercial scheduling and analytical tools, including Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Acumen Fuse.
- Support schedule performance reporting and strategic planning efforts at senior management levels.
- May provide supervisory or management support within the project team or program office.
Skills Required - Bachelor's degree required in the following: Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics.
- More than 15 years of applicable experience, including 13-15 years of direct experience in aerospace and/or research and development environments.
- Expert-level proficiency with commercial scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera.
- Advanced knowledge of EVM principles, particularly as they relate to schedule integration and performance.
- Extensive experience with schedule risk and health assessment tools (e.g., Acumen Fuse).
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of collaborating with senior stakeholders across government, academia, and industry.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous support for NASA or DoD programs.
- Familiarity with PPBE and other federal program management processes.
- Experience in supervisory or senior advisory roles related to scheduling and project controls.
EducationBachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
