Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic for manufacturing equipment and automated production processes.
  • Configure and maintain SCADA / HMI screens, tags, alarms, data points, and equipment status monitoring.
  • Define, map, and validate equipment signals / tags required for MES integration, production tracking, quality, traceability, and equipment status reporting.
  • Troubleshoot communication and data-flow issues across equipment, PLC, SCADA, OPC / middleware, and MES interfaces.
  • Support integration testing between shop-floor equipment and MES, including signal validation, handshake logic, error handling, and recovery scenarios.
  • Work with equipment suppliers and controls engineers to review PLC / SCADA design, identify gaps, and implement required changes.
  • Maintain version-controlled PLC / SCADA programs, change records, tag lists, interface specifications, and deployment / rollback procedures.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of PLC, SCADA, industrial automation, or controls programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting PLC logic using major industrial control platforms; the exact PLC vendor / programming environment is to be confirmed.
  • Hands-on SCADA / HMI configuration and troubleshooting experience; the exact SCADA platform is to be confirmed.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols and connectivity such as OPC UA / DA, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, or comparable technologies.

Languages:

English is required for working communication. Japanese communication capability is preferred.
