SAP Workstream Lead - Government Costing

Reporting To:
Global Business Process Owner

Work Schedule:
Hybrid - Buffalo, NY

We are seeking an SAP Workstream Lead for Government Costing to support our Business Modernization Program.

As the SAP Workstream Lead for Government Costing, you will be responsible for leading a workstream within the Business Modernization Program, ensuring delivery of standardized global processes, alignment with business objectives, and successful deployment across all phases (Deploy, Sustain, Enhance, Upgrade).

*You will work an onsite schedule at our Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY.

To qualify for the SAP Workstream Lead for Government Costing, here is what you will need to bring with you:
  • Typically, a bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline.
  • Over seven (7) years of experience in finance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Over three (3) years' experience in Cost Accounting roles with good technical knowledge of different costing methods.
  • Over three (3) years' experience, with working knowledge of SAP; over five (5) years is preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing cost structures including BOMs and routings.
  • Strong process governance, documentation discipline, and standards enforcement.
  • Demonstrated people-management experience.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems and large-scale transformation programs.
  • Experience in process improvement, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to align stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Ability to act as liaison between business and IT functions.
  • Must be willing to travel (20%-40%).
  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.


It would also be beneficial if you had...
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant industry experience preferred, with a preference of 2 years in an A&D industry.
  • 2-3 years of prior experience in leadership roles.
  • Experience in using SAP/GPD solutions with a good understanding of GPD logic and configurations.
  • Knowledge of direct-material, direct-labor and manufacturing overhead drivers.


As the SAP Workstream Lead for Government Costing, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Lead and manage Process Analysts across all program phases.
  • Deploy standardized processes and ensure scalability across operational sites.
  • Refine global template design based on deployment learnings.
  • Analyze business processes, performance metrics, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements and ERP system capabilities.
  • Document functional requirements and support technical delivery.
  • Develop and oversee testing activities including test scripts and validation.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Support training development and lead end-user enablement during rollout.
  • Define baselines and performance metrics to track business outcomes.
  • Act as a change leader to support adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Contribute to post-implementation continuous improvement and governance.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $120,000.00-$150,000.00 Annually
