About the Role

Key Responsibilities

SAP Treasury Implementation

  • Lead major workstreams across end-to-end SAP Treasury implementations, upgrades, migrations, and optimization projects.
  • Configure SAP Treasury and Risk Management functionality based on approved business and technical requirements.
  • Support SAP S/4HANA Finance and Treasury transformation initiatives, including migrations from SAP ECC or legacy treasury platforms.
  • Configure applicable treasury functions, including:

    • Cash and Liquidity Management

    • Cash Positioning and Forecasting

  • Develop configuration workbooks, functional specifications, process flows, testing documentation, and deployment plans.

Business Analysis and Solution Design

  • Facilitate requirements-gathering and solution-design workshops with treasury, finance, accounting, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Evaluate current-state treasury processes and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, improved controls, and greater visibility.
  • Translate complex treasury requirements into SAP functional designs and future-state process models.
  • Design solutions supporting cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, payments, bank account management, debt, investments, foreign exchange, intercompany activity, and financial risk management.
  • Advise clients on SAP treasury functionality, configuration alternatives, implementation risks, and leading practices.
  • Identify gaps between standard SAP functionality and client requirements and recommend practical solutions.
  • Assist clients in developing treasury policies, operating procedures, governance frameworks, and internal controls.
Integration and Data Management

  • Coordinate SAP Treasury integrations with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, banking, market-data, and third-party treasury systems.
  • Partner with technical teams to define functional requirements for interfaces, reports, enhancements, conversions, and workflows.
  • Support electronic bank statement processing, payment-file generation, bank connectivity, and automated reconciliation.
  • Work with formats and connectivity methods such as ISO 20022, CAMT, MT940, BAI2, ACH, SWIFT, APIs, SFTP, and host-to-host connections.
  • Support integrations with banks, payment hubs, trading platforms, market-data providers, and external treasury applications.
  • Validate master data, transaction data, accounting mappings, valuation results, payment instructions, and bank statement information.
Testing and Deployment

  • Develop and execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing strategies.
  • Create test scenarios and scripts covering treasury transactions, accounting entries, valuations, payments, bank statements, interfaces, controls, and reporting.
  • Lead defect-resolution efforts involving functional consultants, developers, integration teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Coordinate parallel testing and reconcile results between legacy systems and SAP.
  • Assess production readiness and support cutover, go-live, hypercare, and stabilization activities.
Client and Project Leadership

  • Independently manage assigned SAP Treasury workstreams, deliverables, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client treasury and finance leadership throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Communicate complex SAP and treasury concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across treasury, finance, accounting, tax, risk, IT, banking, and external vendors.
  • Prepare and present project updates, solution recommendations, risk assessments, and executive-level deliverables.
  • Maintain strong client relationships while delivering work that meets RSM's quality, risk-management, and professional standards.
  • Support multiple client engagements based on project demand and business priorities.
Practice Development

  • Mentor and provide functional guidance to consultants and junior team members.
  • Contribute to SAP Treasury implementation methodologies, accelerators, templates, testing libraries, and solution documentation.
  • Participate in proposal development, solution demonstrations, project estimations, and prospective-client meetings.
  • Help identify follow-on opportunities involving treasury transformation, finance modernization, managed services, controls, analytics, and process improvement.
  • Remain current on SAP S/4HANA Treasury capabilities, product updates, implementation practices, and treasury technology trends.
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Five or more years of experience in SAP consulting, treasury technology, corporate treasury, finance transformation, or a related field.
  • At least three years of hands-on SAP Treasury implementation or configuration experience.
  • Demonstrated experience completing multiple SAP Treasury projects, preferably including two or more full implementation lifecycles.
  • Experience independently leading a major functional workstream from requirements gathering through go-live.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Treasury and Risk Management in SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC environments.
  • Strong understanding of corporate treasury processes, including cash management, liquidity, payments, debt, investments, foreign exchange, financial risk, and treasury accounting.
  • Experience preparing functional specifications, configuration documentation, process flows, test scripts, training materials, and production-support documentation.
  • Ability to work directly with client stakeholders and translate business requirements into SAP configurations and functional designs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, facilitation, and written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP certification in S/4HANA Finance, Treasury and Risk Management, Cash Management, or another relevant SAP discipline.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Treasury implementations or ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Experience configuring multiple SAP Treasury components, particularly Treasury and Risk Management, Cash and Liquidity Management, Bank Account Management, or In-House Cash.
  • Knowledge of SAP FI/CO integration and treasury accounting processes.
  • Experience with hedge management, hedge accounting, exposure management, valuation, and financial instrument accounting.
  • Familiarity with SAP Bank Communication Management, Advanced Payment Management, Multi-Bank Connectivity, and Fiori applications.
  • Experience with SWIFT, ISO 20022, electronic bank statements, payment factories, APIs, and host-to-host bank connectivity.
  • Experience working for a consulting or professional-services organization and managing concurrent client engagements.
  • Corporate treasury experience within a large, multinational, or complex multi-entity organization.
  • Certified Treasury Professional, PMP, Agile, or comparable professional certification.
  • Experience mentoring team members and contributing to business development or proposal activities.
Success Profile

The successful candidate will be a hands-on SAP Treasury professional who can independently manage a complex implementation workstream while maintaining strong relationships with client stakeholders. This person should be equally comfortable discussing cash management and financial risk requirements with treasury leadership, translating those requirements into SAP configurations, and coordinating technical teams through testing and deployment.

The role requires someone who can operate effectively in an entrepreneurial consulting environment, balance multiple priorities, and deliver practical solutions that improve treasury visibility, automation, scalability, and control.
