The Material Management Platform is multi-year transformation initiative aimed at transforming Ford's Material Requirement Planning & Inventory Management capabilities. This is part of a larger Industrial Systems IT Transformation effort. This position responsibility of S/4 HANA Production Planning module including PPDS. This is a hybrid position, and the SAP Functional Lead will lead different aspects of the end-to-end delivery, work with large cross-functional team, Systems integrator, manufacturing business subject matter experts, and IT leads from numerous integrating systems.

This is a hybrid position and will collaborate with colleagues and teams in our Dearborn, MI office.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the current business process across all regions / plants.
  • Understand the functionality of current Legacy Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and associated upstream and downstream systems.
  • Work with various stakeholders to study the transformation of current process / legacy systems to Industry best standards / technology/ systems focusing on the SAP PP module including ePPDS and iPPE functionalities.
  • Preform Requirements Gathering, Business Analysis, and Fit-Gap/ Fit-to-Standard Analysis to understand the as-is/to-be states and identify key functionalities /process gaps.
  • Recommend possible technology / process solutions to address gaps.
  • Support system integration test, UAT, cutover activities, data migration, Post Go-Live support.
  • Hands on experience in S/4 HANA ePPDS with knowledge in Product Heuristics, Planning Table, Mix Model Planning, Sequencing, Detailed Scheduling Board, Pegging, Product/Resource/Location Master data integration.
  • Knowledge on iPPE access node, Product Structure, Process Structure, Factory Layout, and Production Version creation in iPPE.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Ford's internal S/4 HANA Platform team.
  • Working closely with management to prioritize business goals and information needs.
  • Stay current on SAP trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
  • 13+ years of functional/technical experience with SAP Production Planning Module.
  • 4+ years hands-on experience in designing, implementing business processes end to end, and optimization within S/4 HANA ePPDS and iPPE.
  • Strong knowledge on planning processes Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order, Configure-to-Order.
  • Experience in Automotive / Manufacturing industry
  • Experienced in at least 2 full life cycle of S/4 HANA and Fiori implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • SAP PP integration with other modules MM, IM, QM
  • Experience in integrating with upstream/downstream systems like PLM, MDG, MES, etc.
  • Overall SAP S/4 HANA knowledge
  • Strong project management skills with effective communication and collaboration
  • Knowledge and practical experience of agile delivery
  • Support in an onshore/offshore model
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver product roadmap milestones.

This position is a range of salary grades 7-8 and ranges from $99,600-$192,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
