The SAP Manufacturing Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing end-to-end manufacturing processes within SAP S/4HANA. This role focuses on Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Classification, and Batch Management, ensuring that all manufacturing processes support organizational strategy, compliance obligations, and integrated system requirements.

The consultant will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams across Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), and Project Systems (PS). This role requires strong integration expertise, deep understanding of engineering change processes, and the ability to manage master data updates originating from PLM systems.

You will lead requirement-gathering workshops, architect scalable manufacturing solutions, define and configure production processes, and support advanced planning capabilities including MRP, pMRP, and ePP/DS. The consultant will also design complex quality processes, lead major test cycles, and support integration with MES systems such as Siemens PLM. In addition, you will coordinate work across technical teams, manage enhancements, and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead requirement-gathering workshops and design scalable manufacturing solutions aligned with business needs
  • Demonstrate strong integration experience with MM, SD, FI/CO, and embedded EWM
  • Manage Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes and oversee Materials, BOMs, and Routings updates via ECNs from PLM systems
  • Define and configure production planning, shop floor execution, inspection processes, batch management, and traceability requirements
  • Design and support MRP, predictive MRP (pMRP), and ePP/DS advanced planning scenarios
  • Build quality management processes including receiving, in-process, and final inspections; quality notifications; defect handling; and CAPA
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure technical solutions satisfy all functional requirements
  • Lead business process design, system analysis, and solution architecture activities
  • Coordinate architects, developers, BASIS, Middleware, Portal teams, and business analysts for end-to-end solution delivery
  • Support the maintenance, enhancement, and development of SAP modules, including integration with MES/PLM systems (e.g., Siemens PLM, PLMSI)
  • Develop test strategies and manage complex integration, regression, and UAT cycles
  • Support planning, budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and broader work planning for manufacturing transformation initiatives
  • Lead and mentor team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development

Here's what you need:
  • 5+ years of SAP experience across PP, QM, EHS, Classification, and Batch Management
  • Proven team lead experience managing functional and cross-functional teams
