BW Design Specialist to lead the design, governance, and modernization of our SAP BW, BW on HANA, and BW/4HANA ecosystem. In this highly visible role, you will partner with business leaders, architects, data engineers, and analytics teams to build enterprise-scale solutions that power critical decision-making across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial, Asset Reliability, Product Stewardship, and other core business functions.
As a trusted advisor and technical leader, you will help shape the future of DuPont's analytics landscape by driving innovation across BW/HANA, Data Lake, Power BI, and enterprise reporting platforms.
What You'll DoEnterprise Solution Design & Architecture- Design SAP BW, BW on HANA, and BW/4HANA solutions aligned to business priorities.
- Build scalable data models, reporting frameworks, and enterprise data flows.
- Set architecture standards for performance, governance, and scalability.
- Modernize BW/HANA platforms to improve efficiency and business value.
- Promote best practices in analytics, reporting, and data management.
Business Partnership & Strategic Collaboration- Partner with stakeholders to understand business processes and analytics needs.
- Translate complex requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
- Support enterprise decision-making through trusted data and analytics.
- Align technology investments with measurable business outcomes.
Data Integration & Analytics Enablement- Design integration across SAP, non-SAP, BW/HANA, and Data Lake environments.
- Connect BW/HANA, Power BI, Data Lake, and analytics platforms.
- Ensure data quality, reconciliation, governance, and consistency.
- Enable dashboards, reporting, and self-service analytics through optimized models.
- Advance DuPont's modern analytics and reporting capabilities.
Technical Leadership- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance.
- Review solution designs, data models, ABAP enhancements, and delivery approaches.
- Lead troubleshooting, performance tuning, and continuous improvement.
- Support development, testing, deployment, migration, and production support.
- Promote engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.
Governance & Continuous Improvement- Maintain architecture standards, delivery methods, and governance processes.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, BI, and Data Governance teams.
- Shape roadmaps for BW/HANA modernization, Data Lake integration, and analytics transformation.
- Drive innovation and operational excellence across enterprise analytics.
- Champion DuPont values, standards, and best practices.
What Helps You SucceedRequired Qualifications- 15+ years of experience in SAP BW, BW on HANA, and BW/4HANA design, development, and solution architecture.
- 5+ years of experience as a Design Lead, Solution Architect, or Technical Lead for large-scale BI, analytics, or data warehouse implementations.
- Prior experience supporting DuPont projects and environments.
- Deep understanding of the DuPont technology landscape, enterprise data architecture, reporting ecosystem, and analytics framework.
- Proven expertise in:
- SAP BW and BW/4HANA Architecture
- HANA Modeling and Data Modeling
- Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL)
- Enterprise Data Integration
- Reporting and Analytics Architecture
- Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience supporting key business functions, including Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial Operations, Product Stewardship, and Asset Reliability.
- Experience integrating BW/HANA platforms with Data Lake architectures.
- Proven success integrating SAP BW/HANA with Power BI and enterprise reporting solutions.
- Strong understanding of upstream source systems, downstream consuming applications, and end-to-end business process data flows.
- Strong ABAP knowledge with the ability to review and guide complex technical designs and enhancements.
- Experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, APO/SCM, and BPC.
- Experience with SAP Data Services, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, SAP PO/PI, or similar integration technologies.
- Knowledge of modern analytics platforms, including BusinessObjects, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and Tableau.
- Experience leading analytics modernization and enterprise reporting transformation programs.
- Ability to influence technical strategy and collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
